Developed by the Joint Research Centre, the new “My Air Quality” is an additional feature which is now fully implemented in MyCovenant reporting system. Based on data already reported in the CO2 emissions inventories, the new tool provides estimates of the common progress or trade-offs between CO2 and air pollutant emissions.
This new tool is available for signatories who have already submitted at least one Baseline Emission Inventory and a Monitoring emission Inventory, both dated not later than 2018.
Such information could be especially useful to medium and small-sized administrations, that cannot always count on dedicated offices, in order to build a connection between Energy and Climate Action Plans and air quality measures and encouraging the signatories to exploit as much as possible synergic governance of air quality and climate mitigation.
The new feature can be easily accessed from the signatories dashboard, does not need additional data reporting once inventories have been submitted and it is offered as an additional non-compulsory opportunity to MyCovenant users.
