EU Covenant of Mayors Coordinators are national, regional and sub-regional public authorities that officially commit to providing strategic guidance and support to Covenant signatories within their geographical scope.
They do so by promoting the Covenant of Mayors’ approach and activities, offering technical and/or financial support to local authorities to develop and implement Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans, and organising networking activities involving Covenant signatories.
There are two types of Covenant Coordinators:
National Coordinators: national ministries and national energy agencies.
Territorial Coordinators: regions, provinces and counties.
