The Just Transition Mechanism (JTM) is a key tool to ensure that the transition towards a climate-neutral economy happens in a fair way, leaving no one behind. The Just Transition Platform aims to assist EU countries and regions to unlock the support available through the Just Transition Mechanism (composed of Just Transition Fund, InvestEU Just Transition scheme and Public Sector Loan Facility).
The platform provides a single access point for support and knowledge related to the just transition. The platform shares all the relevant knowledge and information needed by authorities and beneficiaries, including funding opportunities, relevant regulatory updates or sector-specific initiatives.
The Platform also promotes actively the exchange of best practices among stakeholders, including physical and virtual gatherings. It will also offer technical and advisory support to stakeholders involved in activities related to the Just Transition Mechanism.
The Just Transition Platform will also provide project and expert databases to guide stakeholders toward relevant knowledge, evaluations and project examples, therefore creating an expert network for EU countries, regions, agencies and stakeholders to exchange information and good practices.
