European Local Energy Assistance (ELENA) provides grants for technical assistance focused on the implementation of energy efficiency, distributed renewable energy and urban transport projects and programmes.

The grant can be used to finance costs related to feasibility and market studies, programme structuring, business plans, energy audits and financial structuring, as well as to the preparation of tendering procedures, contractual arrangements and project implementation units.

Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM)

The EU Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM) supports new renewable energy projects. It encourages a greater uptake of renewable energy sources across the EU. This will help the EU to achieve its target of the renewable energy share in the final energy consumption by 2030 in a cooperative and cost-effective manner.

The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) is a key EU funding instrument to promote growth, jobs and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment at European level. It supports the development of high performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in the fields of transport, energy and digital services. CEF investments fill the missing links in Europe's energy, transport and digital backbone.
