Key Actions
Systematic implementation of the ORU, activating tax benefits and creating municipal incentives that encourage and accelerate intervention processes in the private domain, promoting an energy efficient rehabilitation, which will have an impact on enhancing the attractiveness of the village and the quality of life of the populations.
This measure is directly interconnected with the various measures of the “Buildings” axis of action, focusing on the rehabilitation dimension, to which energy efficiency must be associated.
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Buildings
Implementation Cost: 1.000.000,00€
Availability of an electric fleet for residents and tourists (in partnership with Renault Portugal);
Reinforcement of the network of charging points for electric vehicles for public use;
Strengthening the smooth mobility network: creation of the cycleable AHP network and maintenance of intra- and inter-village routes for smooth mobility;
Support for the transition and efficiency of the taxi fleet, namely with regard to the acquisition of electric vehicles;
Development of the “AHP Mobility 100% sustainable” app – with integration, management and availability of mobility data from the AHP network and in each Village to optimize the tourist experience and reduce its ecological footprint.
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Transport
Implementation Cost: 500.000,00€
- Assessment of the possibility of installing an AHP energy community, understood as a way of organizing collective cooperation in an energy-related activity around a specific property, governance and non-commercial purpose, in contrast to traditional business actors in the market. The recipients are individual consumers and groups of consumers - organized collectively or in energy communities, whose infrastructures are in a relationship of neighborhood and proximity.
- Investment in photovoltaic energy in public buildings for self-consumption and injection into the grid
- Incentive to private investment in photovoltaic energy for self-consumption and injection into the grid
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Tertiary
Implementation Cost: 1.000.000,00€
Installation of high efficiency luminaires in the public lighting network and their regular maintenance;
Installation of high-efficiency luminaires for the scenic lighting of heritage elements and their regular maintenance;
Installation of an efficient consumption management system for the public lighting and scenic lighting network and the respective regular maintenance and updating.
This system involves sensing the lighting network in order to control, in real time, the status of the network, manage loads, prevent breakdowns and improve the quality of the service provided.
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Other
Implementation Cost: 250.000,00€
Creation of a civil protection telephone line by the Municipality in partnership with GNR and Firefighters, which will be activated during and after an extreme weather event, namely a heat wave period.
This is a telephone line specially designed for elderly people that will provide information and clarifications personalized and adapted to the elderly person and forwarding them to competent authorities, in cases that justify it.
The Municipality, in response to the pandemic context, created a support line for people over 65 years old through Social Action, for the delivery of Medicines and Essential Goods at home, and the possibility of aggregating responses is evaluated.
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Buildings
Implementation Cost: 75.000,00€
Public Entities: raising awareness and encouraging certification of the tourism sector, with the objective of progressive selection and promotion in the AHP network of only certified establishments, as well as within the scope of the “AHP Ativa” Fund
Private Entities: implementation of the measures foreseen in the “buildings” axis, applying the certification. Adoption of constructive solutions; Installation of highly energy efficient equipment in lighting, air conditioning and ventilation; Installation of more efficient equipment and solutions that allow the intelligent monitoring and control of water consumption; Installation of rainwater harvesting systems.
Implementation Timeframe: 2011-2050
Sector: Buildings
Implementation Cost: 75.000,00€
This measure corresponds to the acquisition of electric vehicles to progressively replace the current public vehicle fleet towards “zero emissions”. At the end of 2021, the Municipality has already acquired 2 electric vehicles, this context shows the beginning of this necessary transition in the decarbonization of the municipal fleet that is used for various purposes. Additionally, tire performance must be guaranteed (use of correct pressure).
Implementation Timeframe: 2021-2030
Sector: Transport
Implementation Cost: 1.000.000,00€
This measure corresponds to the implementation of energy improvement measures in the public lighting system (including scenic lighting) and traffic lights, thus including the following:
- Adoption of more efficient new technology systems
- Consideration of establishing a contract with an ESE – Energy Services Company (company that provides energy services and/or other measures to improve energy efficiency and whose investments made are paid in return for a level of energy efficiency improvement, defined contractually)
Implementation Timeframe: 2021-2030
Sector: Other
Implementation Cost: 1.000.000,00€
Action focused on municipal buildings and equipment to improve their energy and water performance, promoting the approach to a zero emissions model (nZEB – near Zero Energy Building): Assessments of energy and water efficiency in municipal buildings and equipment; Increased thermal comfort through the adoption of construction solutions with better thermal performance and resilience to climate change; Installation of equipment with greater water efficiency and/or adoption of solutions that allow intelligent monitoring and control of water consumption, including the installation of solar thermal panels and, in municipal swimming pools, the installation of a heated water boiler.
