"With this action,the Municipality intends to give continuity until 2030 to the Energy Helpdesk service . Municipalities committed in the Covenant of Mayors need to carry out continuous communication, information and training activities in two directions: 1. External to the Body, towards citizens and the whole territory 2. Internal to the Body, towards employees and administrators."

"The action aims to minimize the heat and electricity needs of Public Buildings (Group 1) aiming at decreasing dependence on natural gas and fossil fuels in general. This objective has long been pursued through the combination of 4 strategies: 1. Energy requalification of building envelopes and air conditioning systems 2. Integration of renewable sources used for the local production of energy for self-consumption 3. Compensation of electricity withdrawals from the grid through the purchase of certified renewable energy 4. Offset of residual emissions through absorptions."

The action intends to reduce school traffic with educational and organizational initiatives aimed at children and parents.

With this action, the Municipal Administration intends to make the entire public lighting system more efficient and modernized, through LED technology and smart systems.

Emilia-Romagna Region has established that the government of the territory must pursue "the sustainability, equity and competitiveness of the social and economic system, and the satisfaction of the fundamental rights of current and future generations related in particular to health, housing and work". This affirms a new vision of urban and territorial planning that makes sustainable development the only reference point for decisions relating to territorial transformations.

The action intends to protect and enhance existing green areas, through their strategic and innovative enhancement, and, where possible, to create new green areas with specific mitigation and climate adaptation functions. It also aims to encourage the active involvement of the population in its protection and management, aiming at strengthening the vision of greenery as a common good: a resource available to the community for the many ecosystem services it can offer, and therefore deserving of care and attention.

This action aims to reduce the risk associated with landslides through continuous monitoring of local landslides, support for activities related to landslide management, support for the implementation of hydrogeological instability prevention and restoration interventions by the competent authorities. The intensification of thunderstorms characterized by high intensity can further aggravate already active or dormant landslides situations or cause new criticalities.

With this action, the Administration intends to promote the ecological transition of the territory, creating the conditions for an increasingly effective separate collection and supporting the transition to a sustainable and responsible local production system.

The action originates from the participatory path ""Medesano: Instructions for Re-Use"" carried out in the first half of 2022, thanks to the regional contributions of the ""Law on participation in the development of public policies"" (L.R. 22 October 2018, n. 15) . The path was focused on raising awareness on the reduction of the use of disposable items in shops and during events organized in the area, to be carried out also through the enhancement of people with disabilities, including young people, as subjects involved in the management of a municipal tableware lending library.

Requalification programme of public buildings

Certified green energy to cover residual electrical consumption.

A group of intervention, defined in the Public Lighting Regulatory Plan, that aim to significative energy consumption reduction (about 50%). Most of the reduction is due to the substitution of the old lamps with LED.
