The tourism sector faces a growing demand for innovative products, which is why the Living Labs proposal, as an innovation development strategy focused on users and their needs. With a conception of the tourist space as the meeting point between tourists and other actors to validate practices of innovation, sustainable development and variables of the economic model that allow significant transformations and the specialization of the Arona destination as a unique tourist product.

The tertiary sector of Arona is one of the producers of greenhouse gases where we must act, so it is necessary to improve the climate and energy awareness of local businessmen and merchants. For this, the City Council will transfer the initiative of the "Covenant of the Mayors" to local businesses/companies under the name of "The Covenant of Merchants/Entrepreneurs for Climate and Sustainable Energy" or any other analogue. Establishments that voluntarily so wish may request this municipal badge for excellence in sustainability, which will give them visibility.
