The role of Scalable Cities is to identify and promote energy solutions and business models that can be scaled up and replicated across Europe and lead to measurable outcomes.

Scalable Cities represents 120 cities who are involved in 18 Smart Cities and Communities projects funded by Horizon 2020 with around EUR 345 million. Working in consortia with academia, industry, associations and consultants, they implement more than 550 demonstrations of technological and social innovations in the areas of mobility and logistics, buildings, urban data and ICT infrastructure, citizen engagement as well as urban governance.

Scalable Cities is organising its first visit to Valencia, selected EU Green Capital of 2024 and finalist for EU Capital of Innovation of 2022.

Between the 29 and 30th of March, Valencia will host a two-day event where visitor cities will be able to learn more about the solutions of Match-up and Making-City lighthouse projects, visit demo sites where innovative solutions have been tested, and interact with the Scalable Cities community members participating in the event.

Interested cities can find all details and information on the Terms of Reference of the Call 1 for Visitor Cities. They can apply by uploading the Application form  on the   Application Platform. Selected cities will have the travel costs of one representative of the city covered.

The deadline for submissions is on the 19th of February 2023 !
