EPH Congress - Crash-course for cities on district heating and cooling

Exclusive Crash Course for Cities: free two-day training program for local authorities and municipalities

In recent years, unprecedented momentum has built up to support the deployment of this essential energy infrastructure in Europe.

Providing 20% of the EU heat demand with district heating and cooling would save 24 billion cubic meters of gas by 2030, representing 32% of the EU’s Russian gas imports in 2022. To achieve this, major investments are needed to build new district heating and cooling systems, gradually introduce clean, renewable heat sources and modernise Europe’s impressive district heating and cooling network infrastructure.

It’s no small challenge, but it is above all a huge opportunity for the district heating and cooling industry to expand its markets, to innovate, and to drive the decarbonisation of Europe’s largest energy consuming sector. Time to meet, do business and scale up the heat transition!

The 42nd edition of the Euroheat & Power Congress aims to provide our business and local communities with all the tools needed to make this happen.

Crash Course for Cities

This free two-day training program is specially tailored for local authorities and municipality representatives wishing to develop sustainable district heating and cooling! The first edition of this DHC Crash Course will be conducted in English.

With practical tracks tailored to specific city’s needs, you can learn all about municipal energy planning, integrating alternative sources, conducting refurbishment/expansion, engaging with citizens and mobilising the necessary financing, while connecting with your peers from cities all over Europe.

To secure a spot, local authorities should register for the Congress selecting the special ticket “Crash Course for Cities.” Only 50 local authority representatives will have access to this exclusive opportunity, 1 person per city will be accepted.

Cities attending the Crash Course will also have access to the plenary sessions of the EHP Congress, as well as networking dinners. Find out more about the programme here!

For further details, please feel free to contact the course coordinator, Aksana Krasatsenka, at ak@euroheat.org

The Covenant of Mayors is a proud supporter of this initiative. We are looking forward to meeting cities from all around Europe at this Crash Course to exchange, learn from each other and connect!
