The European Committee of the Regions (CoR) has tasked Milieu Consulting SRL (Milieu) with the preparation of a study ‘Speeding up the clean energy transition at local and regional level: the impact of the Fit for 55 package’.
The survey covers the Fit for 55 package as a whole, and in particular the following updated legislation:
- Renewable Energy Directive (RED) (Directive (EU) 2023/2413);
- Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) (Directive (EU) 2023/1791);
- Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) (Directive (EU) 2024/1275).
Your feedback will be crucial in providing valuable recommendations to EU policymakers regarding a smooth implementation of the energy transition in European Local and Regional Authorities (LRAs). We will incorporate the results into a series of country factsheets that will be included in the study set for publication in February 2025. These findings will also support the European Committee of the Regions' energy initiatives starting in 2025.
