ManagEnergy Master Classes aim to equip Energy Agencies and Regional and Local Authorities across Europe with the skills and knowledge to foster, stimulate and develop sustainable energy projects in Europe. Designed to build the capacity, expertise and knowledge of energy agencies' staff, these Master Classes also present opportunities for networking with peers.
The Master Classes will be delivered in a blended learning format. A one and half-day face-to-face session in Brussels is supported with two half-day online sessions. The format of the classes includes problem-solving exercises, workshops, case studies and guest lectures from agencies and organisations relevant to energy investments.
Financial support (up to a maximum of €550) is provided to participants for travel and accommodation costs. Participants who complete the Master Classes will receive a Digital Badge attesting their participation.
The first Masterclass will be happening in May: 4th May (morning, online); 16-17th May (Brussels); 30th May (morning, online)
The aim of this module is to develop the core skills and competences of Energy Agencies to facilitate and support the financing of large-scale sustainable energy projects. The programme will provide an overview of market facilitation services and supports which Energy Agencies can provide to enable projects to be progressed from concept through to implementation (activating market actors, identifying promising "candidate projects", establishing contacts to the financing community). Financing tools and solutions will be introduced and case studies provided of successful applications of funding models in regions across Europe. The module will draw on experiences and knowledge from a range of relevant and successful EU Initiatives and Projects.
This Master Class will be delivered by experts from the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Tipperary Energy Agency and OÖ Energiesparverband (ESV), supported by guest speakers.
Hurry up! Applications for this first Master Class are open from 20th March until 14th April 2023. The Class is open to staff from local and regional energy agencies and local/regional public authorities considering the establishment of an energy agency or with remits similar to energy agencies.
