New opportunity for Covenant signatories to learn from Mission cities’ climate neutrality journeys

As part of the EU Cities Mission, the Mission Platform managed by NetZeroCities (NZC) has been supporting 112 Mission Cities selected by the European Commission as they strive to reach climate neutrality by 2030. Many of the NZC pilots and frontrunners are a part of the CoM-munity, and it is time for more Covenant signatories to join them in the momentum, accelerating the collective journey towards climate neutrality.

Building on the experience and on the resources, tools and capacities created to support Mission Cities, NZC is now expanding part of its online support to all cities across Europe  aiming towards climate neutrality, regardless of their current level of progress.  

What’s in for your city?

Via the online NetZeroCities Portal, part of NetZeroCities’ services, tools, resources and opportunities become available to more cities, offering an opportunity to reinforce and accelerate climate action towards net zero.  

Cities engaging with the Platform will gain access to a blend of online and in-person activities, starting from the NetZeroCities Portal and including online groups, study visits, twinning with Mission Cities, and engagement at the national and regional level.

A dedicated Helpdesk is available to help cities as they navigate tools, resources and services available, and to guide them in accessing the appropriate support according to their unique context and needs.   

Join the journey

This is a great opportunity to learn from Mission Cities, drawing on their experiences and strategies to shape local approaches for climate neutrality, and to contribute to the broader EU Green Deal goal of achieving a climate-neutral Europe by 2050.  

Covenant signatories, committed to climate neutrality and equipped with action plans, are ideally placed for such support, which will boost their efforts to reach climate neutrality and put them on the same path as Mission cities.
