The action consists of installing systems in self-consumption of photovoltaic solar energy. These actions aim to reduce the electricity consumption of buildings, as well as contribute to the reduction of emissions and benefit other users by taking advantage of the maximum generation potential thanks to the collective self-consumption modality. 35 projects will be carried out (public schools)

It is about creating diversified urban environments that allow people to have day-to-day services, being able to avoid traveling at a distance that takes more than 15 minutes. This initiative involves a redesign of environments at the neighborhood level, encouraging the location of public and private services in a decentralized manner whenever possible and facilitating mobility on foot. It seeks to transform the city and its districts for bicycles, personal mobility vehicles and pedestrians, creating in turn corridors and green infrastructure within the city, in order to implement measures to adapt to climate change.

Implementation Cost: 7.465.000,00€
The public company Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife, S.A. (TITSA, owned by the Cabildo de Tenerife) is analysing and testing different low-emission mobility options, so that, in the coming years, emission levels will be reduced due to the inclusion of more sustainable models. The action estimates that in the time horizon of the Plan the total replacement of the buses will be undertaken
current by low-emission vehicles, but attending to a conservative scenario of emission reduction estimates, taking into account the technology used.
Implementation Timeframe: 2022-2030
Sector: Transport
Implementation Cost: 30.000.000,00€
The action consists of the execution of the measures of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP)1 of the municipality approved in 2015, with a revised version as of January 9, 2022.The SUMP is a municipal management tool to efficiently organize the different modes of transport. promoting those more respectful with the environment (on foot, by bike, public transport) and rationalizing the use of motorized transport, especially the car. Within this measure, other actions to gain traffic space for pedestrians are also integrated, with the consequent restrictions on motorized mobility. This is established within the municipal SUMP of the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The management of urban waste is fundamental in this challenge, since the result of daily actions becomes waste that must receive adequate treatment. Citizen awareness and collaboration are essential to reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials that continue to have a use thanks to their transformation. To this end, awareness campaigns are designed and implemented at all levels of the population and in the different environments where it is concentrated. In addition, guides to good practices, recommendations, incentives and penalties will be established. As a specific action, the preparation of Waste Prevention and Management Plans is contemplated (New Municipal Waste Ordinance)
Implementation Timeframe: 2022-2030
Sector: Waste
Implementation Cost: 60.000,00€
The objective of this measure is to establish, in the first instance, regulations promoted by the municipal council in order to favor other forms of organization of energy activities from the perspective of the social and collaborative economy and just transition. It is proposed that households in a situation of energy poverty can benefit from collective self-consumption in the modalities regulated by Royal Decree 244/2019, especially where there are municipal buildings or facilities in which it is possible to install photovoltaic panels for a power exceeding the needs own, so that the surplus is shared with the adjoining homes (service centers of the council itself, CEIP's, IES and others)
Implementation Timeframe: 2023-2030
The City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife seeks to promote its Municipal Green Infrastructure Plan.
