Saliès, a neo-rural municipality of 853 inhabitants located in the South-West of France, is strongly committed to its climate transition and its actions by adopting a global approach such as sobriety on resources and energy consumption, energy efficiency, regeneration of biodiversity...

The ambition for this city is to bring a better quality of life to its inhabitants, to be exemplary in its approach and open to the world. Saliès has been recognized by numerous labels and awards for its actions for the climate. In addition, the city has already undertaken actions as turning off street lighting at night, creating a biodiversity island and planting 17 roadside trees. The city has undertaken a larger project : The Photovoltaic Installation Project coupled with self-consumption second life battery storage inaugurated on October 1, 2022

A big step for this municipality !

This municipality aims to become autonomous. It is the first French community to implement such a project. Indeed, the innovation of coupling photovoltaic and storage in reconditioned batteries allows the city to have a better coverage of self-consumption. This innovative project will reduce consumption and will have a direct positive impact with a quick investment according to the small town of Saliès !
