ESA Acceleration Days: Urban Green Transition - Contribute as a mentor!

We invite Covenant signatories or Coordinators to consider joining the European Space Agency as a mentor in the upcoming ESA Acceleration Days: Accelerate Urban Green Transition. 

This event will bring together eight selected industry teams to work on the development of an AI-powered discovery platform that acts as a city’s guide to space capabilities. 

The goal: make it easier for local governments, urban planners, and climate officers to explore, understand, and tap into existing or emerging solutions that can support decision-making and drive urban development.

Join as a Mentor:

ESA are assembling a group of expert mentors from Covenant CoM-munity cities and regions to support the teams during the sprint. 

As a mentor, your role would involve sharing your knowledge and experience with participants to help shape their ideas and guide prototype development.

What does mentorship look like:

Flexible involvement: You do not need to be present for the full week. Your engagement would involve:

1. A 10–15-minute presentation, scheduled according to your availability on Monday afternoon (from 3:30 PM), Tuesday, or Wednesday. The aim of this format is to give cities the opportunity to share their key insights on the topic, including pain points, priorities, and perspectives. At least one member from each team will attend the presentation, while the rest of the team continues working on the challenge.
2. Remote availability to support teams, by joining short check-in sessions and answering questions from teams. These could be arranged in 1- to 2-hour slots either Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning or afternoon, Wednesday morning or afternoon.
