The CLIMATEFIT replication programme invites local and regional public authorities to join a structured learning process aimed at scaling up climate adaptation financing and establishing Local Resilience Taskforces (LRTs). Selected participants will benefit from mentorship, peer learning, and tailored support to develop investment strategies for climate resilience.
Summary
The programme consists of three online workshops, guiding participants through key steps to build LRTs and access financing opportunities. Participants will:
- Learn from CLIMATEFIT mentors about successful LRT implementation and adaptation financing.
- Engage in peer discussions to address common challenges and explore solutions.
- Work on tailored investment strategies to strengthen local adaptation financing.
A voluntary advanced programme will also be available for experienced replicators with concrete project ideas and financial partners.
Programme structure
- Step 1 – Getting started: Introduction to CLIMATEFIT, exchange on local adaptation challenges, and initial insights into resilience financing.
- Step 2 – Working together: Focus on the LRT model, its role in accelerating resilience investments, and fostering collaboration between public authorities and financial actors.
- Step 3 – Moving forward: Strategies to make adaptation projects bankable, apply CLIMATEFIT methodologies, and enhance collaboration at regional and international levels.
- Bonus – Voluntary advanced programme: Tailored mentorship for experienced replicators with specific project ideas and financial engagement.

Capacity Building (Masterclasses, Peer-to-Peer Learning, Technical Assistance)
CLIMATEFIT will accept applications from:
- Staff members of local or regional public authorities (PAs) in the eligible countries.
- Staff members of other local or regional public organisations (e.g., energy/climate agencies, development agencies, …) in the eligible countries with confirmed statement that your organisation is acting as representative and is working for local/regional public authority (included in the Application Form).
