Covenant of Mayors Sessions at SCEWC 2024

The Smart Cities Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is one of the biggest world events on urban smart innovation. The 2023 edition gathered over 25.000 attendees from 140 countries. This year again cities, innovators, investors and businesses from all around the world come together to showcase, exchange and discuss technologies and mobility, energy, governance, inclusion, infrastructure, circularity and blue economy.

In 2024, the Covenant of Mayors increases its engagement in the event and enriches the experience for EU Covenant signatories, Covenant Supporters and Covenant Coordinators that participates to SCEWC.

• Repeating the successful collaborations of the last edition, the Covenant of Mayors Europe will be present at the EU representation booth together with 20 other EU initiatives and projects.
• The Covenant will take the stage in the booth session of Tue 5th Nov 14:45-15:30 CET for a discussion together with the colleagues of the Climate Neutral Mission Cities
• In cooperation with the Smart Cities Marketplace colleagues, the Covenant organises a Congress session on "Driving Urban Sustainability: Strategies for Net-Zero Success" with the participation of Marc Serra Solé from the Provincial Council of Barcelona and member of the EU Covenant Board & Global Covenant of Mayors. The aim of the meeting is to discuss and exchange about the difficulties signatories encounter in preparing bankable projects as well as in engaging the private sector for the implementation of climate mitigation and adaptation actions. The session will take place on Wed 6th November, 15.00-16.00 CET.*

Signatories interested in smart technologies and digitalisation in support of their climate actions would have the possibility to have a free entry ticket to the fair! The Covenant of Mayors Europe, as sponsor partner of the event, is thrilled to offer 25 free tickets for Covenant signatories who are interested in actively participating in the event.

Tickets are available on the first come, first-serve basis. Please note that max two persons from the same Covenant signatory, Supporter of Coordinator would be considered eligible. Additional applications from the same entity will not be considered.
